If you are unable to find the footage that you are looking for in the list of videos that the camera has recorded, there is a high possibility that your camera may have overwritten the file(s) that you are looking for. Once your camera's SD card reaches full capacity, the camera will begin to overwrite the oldest video files with new files as these are produced to ensure that it can save all new recordings that are produced. Unfortunately, once a video file has been overwritten, it is not possible to retrieve the overwritten file.
Most cameras also have a feature called 'Lock event files' or 'Protect event files' which typically allows the camera to store files that are categorised as 'Event' or 'Manual' to be stored for longer, while the 'Normal' and 'Parking' files in between this may get overwritten. With this setting enabled, generally, these 'Event' and 'Manual' files will still get overwritten, however, this can delay the time it takes for this to occur.
More detailed information about the recording times you can expect based on your camera model, SD card capacity and video quality settings can be found here.
