The newer X series cameras no longer require a separate hard wiring kit for it to be hardwired, they come with in built voltage monitors so they are able to determine the voltage level of the power source and cut power to the camera when the cut off point is met.

The previous generation BlackVue cameras still require the assistance of a hard wiring kit like the Power Magic Pro for it to be hard wired directly to the vehicle.
