BlackVue SD Cards are specifically designed for BlackVue dash cameras. At BlackVue Australia, we recommend the use of official BlackVue SD cards for optimal performance.
All new BlackVue cameras purchased from authorised dealers come included with a BlackVue SD card. If this is missing from your kit, or has been replaced with a 3rd party SD card, please contact your original dealer.
Many 3rd party SD cards are not designed for dash camera use and can therefore cause performance issues with your camera such as forcing the camera to reboot randomly during recording. Although the basic requirement for the SD card for BlackVue dash cams is Class 10 or U1, and that the SD card is formatted in FAT32 (for Windows) or MS-DOS(FAT) (for Mac), we cannot guarantee the performance of SD cards from other manufacturers, as even cards with same specifications may vary from batch to batch.
Should you choose to use a 3rd party SD card with your BlackVue camera, this will firstly need to be formatted using the BlackVue Viewer program into either FAT32 (for Windows) or MS-DOS(FAT) (for Mac) before use with your camera.
With any BlackVue SD card purchase in Australia you will receive a one year warranty from the date of purchase.
