If your BlackVue camera is repeating 'check SD card' this prompt usually indicates there is an issue with the SD card in the camera. If you hear this 'check SD card' prompt coming from your camera, we firstly  recommend attempting to format your SD card using the BlackVue Viewer program. If formatting the SD card using the BlackVue Viewer does not resolve this issue, or the issue occurs again a short time after, this likely indicates that the SD card has reached the end of it's life-span and will need to be replaced. SD cards are consumable parts and do have a finite number of read and write cycles that can be performed before this will need to be replaced. The average life-span of a BlackVue SD card is typically 2-3 years, however this does vary and can range from as little as 6 months to 5+ years in extreme cases.
