If your BlackVue camera is producing a 'check SD card' message, it suggests there may be a problem with the SD card. The first step to fix this is to try formatting the SD card using the BlackVue Viewer program. If you are unsure how to do this, you can refer to our written guides here. |

If formatting the SD card doesn't solve the issue or if the problem reoccurs shortly after formatting, it likely means that the SD card has reached the end of its lifespan and needs to be replaced. SD cards have a limited number of read and write cycles, and typically last 2-3 years, but this can vary from 6 months to over 5 years in extreme cases.
In the unlikely event your BlackVue SD card malfunctions within the 1-year accessories warranty period, please contact our support team on 1300 967 777 Monday - Friday, 9am - 5pm (AWST) or through our Contact Us page for assistance.
For the best performance of your SD card, the manufacturer recommends formatting it every 2 weeks.
