To successfully connect your BlackVue camera to the BlackVue cloud with a compatible camera model to access the full features, your camera requires a constant internet connection at all times, including while you are away from the vehicle.
|
To do this you will need either a BlackVue CM100GLTE connectivity module (if compatible with your model camera) with a 4G data-enabled SIM card inserted from any Australian telco provider (excluding Belong), or you will need a 3rd party Wi-Fi hotspot (eg. a portable Wi-Fi hotspot dongle from a telco provider or similar) that can be left with the camera at all times. It is possible to use most 2.4GHz internet-connected Wi-Fi networks to connect your camera to the BlackVue cloud, however, it is important to remember that if your camera is beyond the range of this Wi-Fi network, your camera will be offline, however you can still connect directly to your camera when you are within range of your camera's Wi-Fi signal (typically 5-7 meters of your camera). With this set-up, you will be able to remotely access your camera any time the camera is powered on. |
Note for ELITE Series cameras: Cloud connectivity is not available in parking mode when using the 'Power Saving Mode' setting.
